Instagram has announced the introduction of new creative tools to add a more “dramatic” flare to your Halloween posts – as well as a new camera format called “Superzoom.”
Remember “dramatic chipmunk?” Yes, the video that zooms in on a very dramatic looking rodent with some equally dramatic music. Well, now you can make your own version of it. On Instagram. Just in time for Halloween, Instagram is adding the new camera format – called “Superzoom” – that joins Boomerang, Hyperlapse, and Layout. The new feature is coming to Instagram Stories on both iOS and Android.
Simply open your camera and you’ll see “Superzoom” right next to “Boomerang,” right underneath the record button. Tap. Record. Add suspenseful music. Whether it’s a selfie, or anything else the effect makes it really dramatic. You can then send the resulting video to friends via Instagram Direct, or just add it to your story.
But that’s not all. Instagram is also launching some brand new Halloween-inspired face filters and stickers that you can find in the camera. These will be available through November 1st. How about getting into “the Halloween spirit by turning yourself into a zombie, transforming from a vampire into a flying bat or getting lost in a mysterious fog?”
If that wasn’t enough, you can also find new Halloween stickers to add to your photos and videos. The updates are available as part of Instagram version 20.0 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play.
