WhatsApp has just added some new features to its iOS app, including automatic albums, filters for photos and videos, and quick reply links.
The new features added to the latest version of WhatsApp on iOS this week are
Albums: Automatic albums are meant to group together four or more photos or videos that were received in close succession, displaying them within a message all tiled together as a collection. The same happens when you send four or more photos or videos within a message. Tapping on an album brings up the collection of media that can be seen in full screen.
Photo and Video Filters: You will now be able to add filters to photos, videos and GIFs through the WhatsApp camera. All you have to do is take a picture or record a video (or pick one from your camera roll) and swipe up to choose a filter to add to it. You can choose between five filters – chrome, film, pop, B&W, and cool.
Reply Shortcut: This feature is meant to help you reply to a message in an easier way. All you have to do now, is swipe right on the message you’d like to reply to and write your reply.
These new features are available on WhatsApp for iOS at the moment, but will be available on Android at some point as well.
