Welcome to this week’s top social media stories. Instagram is testing a new verification process, Snapchat launched its Lens Explorer and Facebook is testing AR ads in News Feed.
Facebook has started testing AR ads that lets users experience augmented reality and buy products directly from within the News Feed. Michael Kors was the first brand to try them out and many beauty, apparel, but also home decor will follow this summer.
We recently shared our thoughts on how to get verified on Facebook, and most importantly, how you should never trust people who claim they can help you get verified in exchange for payment. Well, this week, Instagram decided to start rolling out a new, more transparent, verification process. The number one is, of course, to fight off scammers.
