According to Starcount, which compiled data across Facebook, YouTube and other sites, Samsung Mobile was the most popular social-media brand in 2013, mostly thanks to its incredible growth over the past 12 months, and despite not leading on any of the platforms it has a presence.
Walt Disney grabbed the second place, especially thanks to its one-million-follower increase on Sina Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site. National Geographic came in third after its top-rated YouTube channel got 160 million views this past year.
