Coming up with the next big thing in social media isn’t a easy quest. And even when something new comes out, keeping the platform alive can be even harder.
Meerkat was the first live video mobile platform. But this week, Meerkat pulled the plug. The app was awesome and brought something new in our lives, but then Twitter bought Periscope. Meerkat thought it could survive, by integrating its app within the Facebook Newsfeed, going where Twitter could not go. Until, Facebook launched LIVE. Then there wasn’t much space left for Meerkat. Sad?
