Yup, it’s Draft Week at the NFL, and Twitter’s taking part with hashtag-triggered emojis and its own mock draft. Who’s in the top ten?
The NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night, and everyone who follows American Football will be excited to see which players get drafted. To take part in the excitement, Twitter is bringing its own special hashtag-triggered #NFLDraft emoji, as well as hashtag-triggered emojis for each first-round draft pick. The latter will bring up a team’s logo when a drafted player’s name is mentioned in hashtag form.
So, for example, if quarterback Josh Allen is drafted by the Browns (as Twitter predicts in its mock draft), the hashtag #JoshAllen will bring up a Browns logo. The same will apply for all first-round draft picks.
In the meantime, if the hashtag #NFLDraft is included in a Tweet, the NFL Draft logo emoji will appear as such:

Twitter has also done its own mock draft that is based on players who are most mentioned in Tweets discussing teams and the draft. Twitter says that if the given player is mentioned multiple times “alongside numerous teams” its mock draft gives priority to the team with the “highest draft pick.”
