The new Yoda Stan Smith is made out of recycled materials as part of adidas’ ongoing sustainability efforts.
Since it first appeared in 1965, the Stand Smith has become a fashion icon. Today it is leading adidas’ sustainability efforts.

As part of their ongoing initiative to reduce plastic waste, adidas Originals has teamed up with iconic companies like Disney, Pixar, and Marvel to create limited0-edition designs featuring characters like Tinker Bell, The Hulk, Kermit the Frog, and, now, Yoda.
The new Yoda Stan Smith boasts the Star Wars favorite character colors (green was an easy colorway for the Stan Smith) with an engraved Yoda face on the heels tab.
The shoe is made from recycled material, with the upper tab made from Primegreen and a recycled rubber outsole. It also features the famous Yoda adage on the side of each shoe: “Do or do not, there is no try.”
adidas Originals’ plan to go green also includes a vow to reduce marine plastic pollution and using recycled plastic in new products.
The limited-edition Stan Smith will be available on May 5 in men’s and women’s sizes.
