For its 100th anniversary, Ducati is taking a surprising detour from the racetrack to the kitchen.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has partnered with Swiss coffee specialist Cuisine Barista to launch the Barista M3 1926 Limited Edition Carbon Fiber, a premium coffee machine inspired by Ducati’s iconic design language. The machine’s name references the year Ducati was founded, while production is limited to just 1,926 units worldwide
More than a commemorative product, it’s an example of how brands can use milestone anniversaries to expand into entirely new categories.
Ducati Brings Its Racing DNA Into The Kitchen
The Barista M3 1926 borrows heavily from the world of motorcycle engineering. Its front and rear panels are made from genuine twill-weave carbon fiber, a material commonly associated with Ducati’s high-performance motorcycles.
Combined with stainless steel finishes and Ducati’s signature red accents, the machine looks more like a collector’s piece than a traditional kitchen appliance. It’s a design approach that allows Ducati fans to bring a piece of the brand into their daily routines without ever turning a key.
A Lifestyle Play Beyond Motorcycles
What’s most interesting about the launch is the strategy behind it.
Rather than releasing another anniversary T-shirt or branded accessory, Ducati has entered a category that naturally aligns with lifestyle, design, and ritual. Coffee may seem far removed from motorcycles, but both occupy a similar emotional space for enthusiasts: passion, craftsmanship, and daily enjoyment.
The machine itself uses Nespresso-compatible capsules, delivers up to 19 bars of pressure, offers more than a dozen beverage options, and includes integrated milk frothing and temperature controls.
Priced at €2,599 for the carbon fiber edition and €1,599 for the standard model, it’s clearly aimed at collectors and dedicated Ducati fans rather than casual coffee drinkers.
As anniversary campaigns go, it’s a clever reminder that the strongest brands aren’t limited by their category. Sometimes, they find entirely new places to show up.
You can order it here and if you need coffee that matches the quality, check out K’WA coffee, honestly the best coffee for any Nespresso compatible machine.
