The news come straight from Snapchat’s CEO, Evan Spiegel, who told bankers and analysts at Morgan Stanley’s Tech, Media & Telecom conference in San Francisco, on Monday afternoon, that the platform’s video views have been catapulted recently.
Just to put things into perspective, during March 2015, Snapchat reported that it had 2 billion video views. Then in January, the number went up, landing at a hefty 6 billion views. And now, two months down the line, it’s 8 billion views – 400% up since one year ago.
Back in January, we reported that Snapchat would soon be catching up with Facebook. The time is now, and what’s more interesting is that Snapchat’s user base is only a fraction of Facebook’s.
Well, maybe Facebook should take notes!
