Snap Inc. has partnered with TuneMoji, enabling users on Snapchat to use musical GIFs in their chats and Stories.
Following a similar introduction of Bitmoji in Tinder, via integration with Snapchat’s Snap Kit, Snapchat has introduced a fun feature that lets users send each other musical GIFs. The Musical GIFs can be shared in chats and Stories, and play a part of a song together with the moving image GIF.
The feature, first described by Business Insider has been made possible due to a new partnership between Snap Inc. and TuneMoji, and the latter’s use of the recently-introduced Snap Kit.
While musical GIFs add more fun to Snapchat, users won’t be able to use them straight away, and this may be a minor (or major) annoyance for many. To do so though, they will need to have TuneMoji and Snapchat installed, and then search inside TuneMoji to share a musical GIF to Snapchat.
Snapchat’s main competitor, Instagram, recently introduced a similar feature to its Stories – Music Stickers.
