Following its integration with Snap Kit, Tinder is introducing Bitmoji on its platform, allowing users to send them to their matches.
“Breaking the ice has never been easier.” At least that’s what Tinder says, now that it’s introduced Bitmoji on its app. Because expressing yourself with words is so 2008, right? The appearance of Bitmoji on Tinder is made possible by a recent integration of Snap Kit that allows third-party apps to take advantage of Snapchat’s login, Snap Map, and Bitmoji.
Bitmoji can be added onto Tinder really easily. If you have access to them:
- Tap the green Bitmoji icon next to GIF
- Tap “Connect to Snapchat”
- Confirm you’d like to chat on Tinder using your Bitmoji
- Start chatting with your Bitmoji
Bitmoji on Tinder is now being tested in Canada and Mexico, and there is no news as to when it may roll out to other markets. Tinder, together with Patreon and Postmates have been the debut partners for Snap Kit, but this is the first of the integrations so far.
“With our Bitmoji integration, we’re giving users a playful new way to engage with matches. This is just one way we work with partners to add features that encourage users to experiment with more personalized ways of chatting; in this case, it’s the freedom to get creative with avatars,” explained Tinder’s Chief Product Officer Brian Norgard.
