Rejoice, dance, and let the world know how happy you are: @accounts and #hashtags are now clickable in your Instagram bio. Go ahead, it’s ok to celebrate.
This is the type of update that can really change the way we connect and discover others on Instagram. Until now, we’ve all had a mere 150 characters of plain text (and Emoji) to introduce ourselves to the world. That, and one single hyperlink to any other website, or social media profile of our choice.
That has now changed. You can now edit your profile bio to include clickable hashtags and other Instagram profiles.

You can add active @accounts and #hashtags links in your Instagram bio
The app will automatically suggest trendy/popular hashtags for you to add after you key in “#.” In a similar manner, you can add an active link to any other Instagram profile by typing “@” followed by the username.
Instagram has stated that when adding another user in your bio, this person will receive a notification, and be able to deactivate the link.
Also, if you did not know, it is actually easy to work around the bio limitations, and write your bio on several lines: just prepare your bio on any other software (I use “notes” but Pages or Word work too) and then copy paste it into Instagram.
