TikTok unveiled a new “Keyword Insights” tool to help marketers find the keywords and phrases that resonate with audiences in their ads.
The new “Keyword Insights” tool that can now be found within TikTok’s Creative Center helps marketers find “the right words to use” by helping them discover the keywords that resonate with the viewers of their ads on the platform.

As TikTok explains, marketers can “browse keywords that have appeared in real, successful ad campaigns” and “watch the ads themselves for ideas about how to incorporate those keywords into [their] script, ad text and overlays.”
The tool is very handy, as it lets you easily search through the most common terms within TikTok ads, see how often they appear in ads, and what the average CTR, CVR, CPA, impressions, likes, comments, etc. of the ads that use them is. You can get results based on region, industry, objective, and keyword type. Finally, you can filter results based on 7, 30 or 120 previous days.
All you have to do is head to TikTok’s Creative Center and find the keyword you’re interested in. Then tap “Details” at the right of the keyword to get more insight into how the keyword has been used in ads. For example, you can find out whether it’s been used as text or within a voiceover, etc.
Furthermore, you’ll also be able to find specific examples of where a keyword’s been used by viewing videos that include the term. This will allow you to get specific context into how other brands have used the keyword in their ads.
The tool is excellent for research before planning any campaigns, as it gives you a good idea of what works and what doesn’t and gives you an excellent basis to work from.
You can’t rely entirely on the tool for the success of your campaigns, though. You need a reasonable budget, killer visuals, and a great organic strategy. The tool complements the variety of other Creative Center tools like Top Products, Top Ads, etc.
