Remember Swarm? The Foursquare-bred app has just updated its iOS version and it reveals some major changes: Messages and ditching of ‘Plans‘ section.
First of all; Private Messages! Swarm has added a functionality that lets you message one friend, a group of friends or your nearby friends. Added to that, Swarm has performed a UX change. It has given checkin-button a new place, by adding it on the ribbon which sits at bottom of your home screen, thus making it more accessible (and easier to find).
As far as ‘Plans‘ are concerned? Given the relatively low adoption rate, Swarm has ditched this feature as it believes that it’s easier to arrange a meeting with your friends via messages.
