The Pantone Color Match Card works with your phone’s camera to measure and match any colored objects, materials, or surfaces to a Pantone Color.
The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is used across a variety of industries, from graphic design, fashion design to printing and manufacturing. While it is easy to match any color on a computer screen using tools like Photoshop, for example, the same does not apply to real-life.

Here comes the Pantone Color Match Card. The card works with the Pantone Connect app on Android and iOS and uses your phone’s camera to measure and perfectly match colored objects, materials, and surfaces to a Pantone Color. It barely is the size of a credit card but its accuracy is of the same level as expensive color-reading devices. It works with the Pantone Connect app to easily identify any Pantone Color and match it to a color palette you can later use in Adobe Creative Cloud.
All you have to do is place the card (which contains a hole) over the desired color, and take a photo of it using the app. Pantone Connect will then identify the color – so you can finally leave those hefty Pantone swatches at home.
The card is available online for $14.99. You can buy it here.
