There is a new photo app in town, and it’s already trending across the globe. Prisma is a new photo app that can transform any of your photos into a work of art; with over 30 filters to choose from.

Here is a little fun I had with a picture of Ektoras:

I know I said filters, but Prisma uses something way better than that: the app uses a combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence to rebuild your image. Yes, Prisma scans your photos and applies the “filters” while reconstructing it from scratch. And all that, in a matter of seconds.

It Gets Even Better: Video
The above is already pretty awesome, but there seems to be more to come… Prisma is already planning to add video support to its app.
The news was broken by Matt Navarra and soon to be re-shared by The Next Web:

Now, that is absolutely amazing! It’s the first time an app comes so close to producing such awesome results and it looks stunning. Sure, Snapchat and MQRSD both have live filters, but only on selfies.

Prisma already felt amazing when it was just a photo app. Once it adds video, there will be very few other apps that will be able to compete with it. At the moment, Prisma is only available on iOS, but the company plans to launch on Android very soon as well.
And… 360 Photos!
A post shared by Alexey Moiseenkov – one of the founders behind Prisma – shows how it’s also about to launch support for 360 photos!
