Instagram might be getting a new jam as the platform begins testing new Stickers that feature song lyrics that play along with a music video.
The feature was spotted by Jane Machun Wong back in April of this year. Now it seems to be part of a wider test among users across the globe. Instagram Song Lyrics Stickers – for the lack of a better name – show lyrics being animated alongside the music video.
In the below example from Jane, you can see how Rick Ashley’s “Never gonna give you up” appear as an animated sticker while the music video is playing.

Music has recently become a core experience within Instagram stories. Since last summer, you can add music to your Stories, share Spotify songs and even ask your followers to share songs with you.
