According to reports, Instagram is testing a new event Invites sticker to help you invite people to your events with Stories.
Another day, another test spotted. This time, a special Invites sticker that can be used in your Instagram Stories to let viewers know about an event you’re organizing, and get them to RSVP directly.
The unreleased Invites sticker, reported last week by reverse engineering genius Jane Manchun Wong, allows you to add the details to your event – location, date, and event title – and then add it as a sticker to one of your Instagram Stories.

It’s unclear when the feature will be rolled out – or even what final form it will take – as there has been no other related confirmation from Instagram. However, as Wong tweeted recently, Instagram is looking at ways to help people use Instagram for events.
Instagram’s Adam Mosseri explained in an interview, back in June, that it knows that high schools are already using Instagram to organize events, and they’re doing it in a “hacky way” with private accounts. Perhaps the new Invites sticker is a direct response to that user behavior.
It certainly looks very interesting for anyone who wants to put the word out for an event and get people to RSVP in the easiest way possible.
