The #9055 artwork was created by GeeGazza in collaboration with Bored Ape and nicknamed “EminApe” after the ape’s resemblance with the rapper: Eminem’s Bored Ape is accessorized with a gold chain necklace, and a khaki army cap that is very similar to the one Marshall Mathers III wears in real life.
GeeGazza has been hoping to make the transaction with the celebrity for some time.

The purchase took place on OpenSea’s NFT marketplace, and the transaction was completed by Six – the digital agency previously responsible for carrying on NFT transactions for other celebrities, including Wu-Tang Clan, Tycho, and Galantis.
As this is not the first NFT bought by the rapper, Eminem’s “Shady_Holdings“ portfolio on OpenSea already holds several digital collectibles, including several “Lil Baby Doodles X” NFTs, the rapper’s “Ditaggdogg#1“ stencil artwork, and now also a second ape, the “Superlative Apes #3880“.
I’m living in a simulation.
Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club!

According to blockchain data aggregator Defi Llama, the “Bored Ape Yacht Club” collection of NFTs, which became widely popular in 2021, generated more than $1 billion in total trade volume worldwide and reached 6,082 owners.
As the NFT movement grows, several celebrities, including Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, The White Stripes, and now even Melania Trump, have already launched their own projects.
In 2021, Christie’s sold a total of $150 million worth of NFTs, and a couple of weeks ago, even Ferrari announced that it would soon be issuing exclusive digital collectibles on the blockchain.
