First of all; Private Messages! Swarm has added a functionality that lets you message one friend, a group of friends or your nearby friends. You can even send messages to friends that they are not using Swarm. In addition, each time you communicate through messages, you can see where your friends are on a map, in order to find them more easily.

Added to that, Swarm has performed a UX change. It has given checkin-button a new place, by adding it on the ribbon which sits at bottom of your home screen, thus making it more accessible (and easier to find).
As far as ‘Plans‘ are concerned? Given the relatively low adoption rate, Swarm has ditched this feature as it believes that it’s easier to arrange a meeting with your friends via messages.
