Twitter is being Twitter again. Despite being one of the largest social platforms out there, Twitter is still going through a deep identity crisis. Internal to start with; the app is still struggling to find stable growth, but external as well – most users are still finding the platform difficult to use.

So, Twitter decided that it was time for a new communication/advertising campaign, hoping that this time it will help people understand what Twitter really is. Dubbed ‘See what’s happening’, the campaign focuses on showing how Twitter is where all the conversations are happening, where the news are shared and discussed.

So, what do you think?
My opinion is that this was a long-time coming. A few months back, Twitter stopped being classified as a social network on the Apple App Store, preferring to become the #1 app in the News category. Also, the many deals the company has been signing for live coverage of sports and events, are a definite sign of what Twitter aims to be in the future.
