TikTok has announced that it is making its TikTok TV app available on more big-screen services across the US and Canada starting this week.
A few months after TikTok TV launched in select European countries, and then in the US and Canada, earlier this month, the company announced that it is now expanding the availability of the app in the US across more TV platforms.

TikTok has extended its partnership with several other streaming services in North America, including Google TV and other Android TV OS devices and select LG Smart TVs and Samsung Smart TVs.
TikTok has already made its TV app available on Google TV and Android TV in the U.K., France, and Germany, but in North America, the app was so far only available via Amazon TV. The company also launched its TV app on Samsung TVs in the UK last year.
“With our mobile app, we bring people little bursts of joy, and the big screen experience allows families and friends to easily enjoy TikTok together,” the company says on the announcement.
To make the TV version of its app work as seamlessly as possible, TikTok has redesigned it for the big screen – to adapt it from vertical to horizontal viewing.
The TikTok TV app effectively adapts the viewing experience to the big screen, dimming out the vertical videos into the background to fill in the extra space horizontally.
In addition, the TV app scrolling experience serves a continuous and uninterrupted feed on AutoPlay based on the recommendations within the user’s “For You” and “Following” feeds, along with a “Discover” page where users can access some of the most popular videos on the platform by category.
The TikTok TV app can serve short videos on Autoplay for topics like comedy, gaming, food, travel, sports and animals, and many more.
