TikTok has announced Lead Generation ads to help businesses reach customers and drive acquisition.
TikTok wants to help businesses reach their customer base more effectively and drive revenue through interaction with its short-form video format. To help them do so, it’s launching Lead Generation, a first-party solution that lets businesses “share details of their products and services that are related, appealing, and interesting to their customers with a few simple taps.”

The feature allows businesses to create seamless interactions with potential customers to turn them into customers. Users respond by filling out a form and providing information like their name, email, phone number, etc. – to show a business they are interested in a product or service.
As is the case with lead generation products on other platforms, some basic information provided to TikTok by users can be used automatically to populate the form, making for a smoother process.
The leads can be downloaded manually or passed into a business’ CRM if it’s connected.
Users will see a Privacy Notice when submitting their information, which states that TikTok is “collecting users’ information for advertisers.” TikTok’s Privacy Policy and the advertiser’s privacy policy will also be linked in the form.
TikTok’s Lead Generation is now available to businesses globally.
