Snapchat is updating its app with new tweaks to personalize the in-app experience and make it more fun and engaging.
Snapchat announced that it is introducing a few new teaks and features in its latest update for the app to enhance engagement with poll stickers, individual chat replies in group discussions, Bitmoji reactions, and better live chats.
Firstly, Snapchat is introducing Poll Stickers as part of the announcement, which has become available to use on Snaps and Stories accompanied with emoji.
This lets users explore a new way of interacting with their audiences, providing a fun and easy way to ask questions. Poll Stickers are available in the app’s sticker drawer on both iOS and Android “so all your friends can weigh in and show their thoughts.”
The company adds that Polls on Snap “were designed with transparency in mind” so “you can see how your friends voted to help ensure responses stay thoughtful and kind.”
In addition, Snapchat is now adding the option to create a separate group chat right from an individual message reply. To access the new option, users need to simply hold down on a message in a chat and then tap on the ‘Reply’ option that pops up.
Snapchat is also adding Bitmoji characters to its range of Reactions offered, expanding how users express their personalities and convey emotions. The platform is making seven Bitmoji available to use within chat threads.
Finally, Snapchat has updated the interface for its video and audio calling feature. Live conversations become more fun with the update, with easier access to new video calling Lenses. In addition, the platform is adding the ability for users to preview who is on a group call before they join in.
