These communities have evolved to become what we now call InstaMeets. InstaMeets are gatherings of people coming together to connect, explore, and celebrate their creativity, by shooting images and video together, creating a communal canvas of small masterpieces.

The time has come again for these Instagram communities to come together around the globe. This year’s Worldwide InstaMeet 13 falls on Earth Day – April 22 – and, for this reason, Instagram has created #LifeOnEarthWWIM13, a special hashtag for all those who want to shoot photos and share them with their community.
For all those interested in hosting an Instameet, we have good news. The social sharing platform has created a form, to register your meet up and spread the word to other Instagrammers in your area.
