Samsung is promoting its new Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ 5G with a Bandersnatch-style interactive adventure on Instagram Stories.
Promoting a new phone isn’t an easy task nowadays. Not only are there new models coming out almost every month (or so it feels), the audience targeted by most manufacturers has one of the shortest attention spans and, an expressed dislike for advertising.
So when Samsung approached social agency Social Chain to get the message out about the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ 5G, they decided to take a disruptive, unconventional and unexpected approach. And all of this had to be done using the platform Millenials love the most: Instagram.
Social Chain created a series of interactive, immersive, and interconnected Instagram Stories that take you on a Bandersnatch-style adventure. Your mission is to safely carry the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G to its destination. But only moments into your task, someone snatches it away from you.
What follows, consists of a series of decisions you will have to make to pick the right path, jump from one story to the next, get the phone back, and unlock a special feature. See for yourself below, and experience the full adventure on SamsungUK’s Instagram.
It took 20 individual Instagram accounts and 50 Stories to make this immersive, Bandersnatch-style adventure for Samsung. Are you ready to play?
We love this new innovative way of using IG stories.
