Legendary hip-hop group RUN DMC has dropped a limited-edition collection of artwork NFTs to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of “Raising Hell.”
The NFT craze is in full swing, and more and more brands and artists are clamoring for attention in increasingly creative ways. Especially for bands and music artists, NFTs offer a great new way to reach fans.
To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of their 1986 album “Raising Hell” and pay tribute to the late Jam Master Jay, legendary New York hip-hop group, RUN DMC is dropping a limited edition vinyl album NFT artwork collection.

RUN DMC partnered with artist Reena Tolentino (aka ‘RT’), to create the collection, and remake the band’s logo and vinyl album cover. The latter also dropped as a separate NFT, 12ON12 RUN DMC.
In collaboration with UK-based record label 12on12, a limited number of artwork NFTs were minted on the Swiss blockchain company Peppermint. The NFTs are listed for bidding on OpenSea under the name TRAILBLAZERS from April 9 for exactly 21 days.
According to the release, the following artworks will be available.
“12ON12 RUN DMC“ – the vinyl cover with logos (maximum 500pc) – The cover art of the limited-edition vinyl record curated by RUN DMC in tribute to Jam Master Jay and the 35th Anniversary of “Raising Hell”. The record was produced by 12ON12 in 2020, and the artwork for the record was created by Reena Tolentino, a rising star artist in Los Angeles.
“Trailblazer #” – 6 clippings of the painting – 6 clippings of the original painting of the RUN DMC members Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell created in tribute to Jam Master Jay and the 35th Anniversary of “Raising Hell”.
12 variations of the original painting Trailblazers, that will be released starting from the 15th of April – 12 different variations of the original painting of the RUN DMC members Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell created in tribute to Jam Master Jay and the 35th Anniversary of “Raising Hell”.
74 clippings of the color variations, that will be released on the 26th of April. 6 clippings of each of the 12 different color variations of the original painting of the RUN DMC members Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell created in tribute to Jam Master Jay and the 35th Anniversary of “Raising Hell”.
