“Reunited with Buds” is Budweisers’ latest ad to support the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign, offering a free beer to everyone who gets the jab.
For this formidable reunion, Budweiser chose to bring back the most charming pair that was first formed during the 2014 Super Bowl: the Clydesdale and puppy.
This time, they have a clear message: before you can reunite with your buds and hit the bars again, you have to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

If you are not yet convinced to get the vaccine, Budweiser is hoping to change your mind with a chance to win a $5 virtual gift card. After getting the shot, you can upload your vaccination card, or a selfie with a vaccination sticker, to ABeerOnBud.com in exchange for free beer.

The ad, developed by Anomaly Toronto, is not entirely new though. It first ran for a very short time last June. But now that vaccines are widely available across the US and the country is slowly reopening, Budweiser decided to reintroduce the campaign on social media and on national TV on April 26.
Budweiser had already been involved in promoting the vaccination after the company chose to sit out the Super Bowl for the first time in 37 years and, instead, partner with Anheuser-Busch and the Ad Council to create “Good Times Are Coming,” which invited people to get vaccinated so we could all go back to doing the things we love.
