Microsoft has turned the Xbox Series X-shaped mini fridge meme into a real appliance that anyone can buy and receive before Christmas.
Microsoft has announced that the all-new Xbox Series X-shaped mini fridge, designed to look just like the next-gen console, is now open for preorders, with delivery slated in time for Christmas.

What began as a viral meme many months ago became a life-size reality when Microsoft created the “world’s first-ever, fastest, and most powerful Xbox Series X Fridge, a 6-foot, 400 pound, 1:1 scale replica of [its] beloved console.”
Now, the company has gone one step further. The concept of an Xbox Mini Fridge started as a joke about the boxy-shaped console’s slight similarity to a fridge, and the company later teased the production of the mini-fridge at its E3 conference in June, referring to it as “the world’s most powerful mini fridge” with “Xbox Velocity Cooling Architecture.”
The device is designed to fit up to twelve cans of drink, with two-door shelves intended to hold snacks. It also hosts a USB charging port and a DC power adapter for using the fridge on the go.
The Xbox Mini Fridge will be priced at $99.99, £89.99, and €99 in the US, UK, and Europe. To deliver the mini-fridge before Christmas, Microsoft is partnering with Target in the US, Game in the UK, and GameStop EU, Micromania, or Toynk in Europe.
