Pinterest has announced a new widget option for iOS that lets Pinners choose their interests and have them served to their home screens daily.
Pinterest is the home of inspiration and ideas for over 450 million people each month, looking for anything from new recipes to fitness routines, style options, home décor, and a lot more. To bring the inspiration out of its app and onto people’s home screens, the platform introduced its own iOS 14 widget back in October.
Since launching the iOS widget, more than 2 million users globally have added it to their home screens, so now Pinterest wants to make it easier for them to “access the content that they love most and get a daily dose of inspiration and ideas.”
As a result, Pinterest is now adding a new ‘Interests’ widget option that lets users choose their top interests and have related content appear within the widget every day.
With the new option, Pinners will now be able to choose a range of interests that include Home décor, Food, Men’s and women’s fashion, and Quotes.
To download the Pinterest ‘Interests’ iOS widget to your home screen on your device:
- Ensure that you are on the latest version of iOS.
- Long-press an open space on your home screen.
- Select the (+) icon to add a widget.
- Choose the Pinterest widget.
- Select ‘Interests’.
- Press (+) Add widget.
- Select the Pinterest widget on your home screen.
- Choose your favorite interest from the list.
- Select update.
The widget is now available to users globally.
