Pinterest announced this week that Pinterest Ads are now also available to all businesses in Germany, Austria, Spain, and Italy.
Many more businesses will get to use Pinterest Ads from today! In a post on its business blog, Pinterest announced the expansion of its standard and video ads to four new markets. Previous to this full launch, Pinterest had been testing its ads in Germany with brands like Ferrero, REWE, and Tchibo, which according to the announcement “have already seen success using Pinterest Ads to tap into an audience on Pinterest that is looking for what to try or buy next.”
“We are thrilled with the results of our campaign and plan to further invest on Pinterest,” said Lukas Wiener, Senior Digital Media Manager at global chocolate and confectionery company, Ferrero. “We can reach people on Pinterest who are specifically searching for new ideas and are open to discovering new brands and products. Pinterest Ads offer us a chance to address these people even better.”
Up until now, Pinterest ads were only available in the US, UK, Canada, France, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and many companies in these markets have found success. Many of these have also “expressed interest in expanding ads into […] new markets.”
With the expansion, Pinterest is building new sales teams in Germany, Spain and Italy with regional teams in Germany, France and Ireland – in order to support advertisers in other European locations as well. The next markets on the list are the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and Switzerland where Pinterest is already testing ads.
