Pinterest has announced that Pinterest ads – aka Promoted Pins – are now available in France as well.
It took its time but Pinterest is once again expanding the availability of its Pinterest Ads. With the latest addition this week of the French market as well, the total number of countries where the ads are available is… seven.
But the addition of the French market is not insignificant. I mean why would it be? It’s actually the first non-English-speaking market to gain access to the Pinterest Ads. Up until now, they are available in the United States, the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand.
The announcement came from Pinterest’s regional general manager for France, southern Europe and Benelux Adrien Boyer who shared that Pinners in France are very active, saving over 3 million ideas to their boards each day. Also, for the past five years, Pinterest actually has a dedicated team in France, in order to build relationships with businesses and to develop local content further.
Boyer also shared that the current “early adopters” of the Pinterest Ads – Promoted Pins – include major brands like Guerlain, Picard, Tiptoe, Louis Vuitton and Air France.
