Netflix Launches Play Something Shuffle Mode

After testing several options last year, Netflix is finally launching its own shuffle mode – Play Something.

If you find yourself totally stumped as to what to watch on Netflix every night (first-world problems, I know), this next piece of news will make you very happy.

After testing a number of shuffle options last year, Netflix is now launching Play Something – a new shuffle feature that lets you jump right into a series or film that has been chosen based on what you’ve watched in the past.

Just hit the ‘Play Something’ or ‘Play Something Else’ to watch a “brand new series or film, a series or film you’re already watching, a series or film on your list, or an unfinished series or film you may want to revisit.”

Play Something can be found under your profile name, the tenth row of your Netflix homepage, or the navigation menu on the left of your screen.

People who use screen-readers can rest easy, as Play Something fully supports Text-to-Speech (TTS), but they will first have to enable the feature in their TV device settings.
