Mmhmm is launching the beta of Chunky, a new way to record presentations in parts until you get it right, and then send share with a link.
Videoconferencing platform, mmhmm, is expanding its product offering with more ways to share bite-sized and pre-recorded asynchronous presentations with remote teams. Last week, the company opened the beta version of mmhmm Chunky to Windows users.

Mmhmm Chunky allows users to pre-record their video presentation as fully customizable chunks, letting them then progress the recording by editing each chunk independently until they are happy with the recording – before moving on to personalizing the next.
Additionally, the feature allows them to also save multiple takes for each slide.
Once a user is happy with their presentation, mmhmm lets them publish their customized presentation and share a link with their business teams or clients.
The service also offers the possibility to create a hybrid presentation, combining live and pre-recorded slides.
“Pre-recording slides for presentations you’ve perfected can save time, but if you want to open the floor to discussion,” explains the announcement. “Chunky makes it easy to switch between live and recorded content.”
To select this option, choose None from the Takes tab for the chunk intended to take the presentation live. Then, select Playback from the mode bar to play both recorded slides and live slides.
Another handy feature on Chunky is “Scenes” (formerly known as Presets), which allows the presenter to line up content, room, and appearances for one or more slides before the presentation begins.
Mmhmm offers a how-to page to those who wish to download and install the beta and invites feedback from its users ahead of rolling it out to the public.
