LinkedIn’s Marketing team has put together a resources toolkit specifically for technology marketers, filled with tips on how to generate leads.
On its Marketing blog, LinkedIn recently published a new guide to help tech marketers navigate the opportunities offered by the platform. However, many of the data-driven insights provided in it can also apply to other industries.

The downloadable, 19-page resource toolkit, called “How Technology Marketers Drive Leads on LinkedIn,” offers highlights and helpful tips on developing and delivering an effective campaign to help tech marketers drive high-quality leads on LinkedIn. It comprises a main “Quick-Start Guide” and three accompanying Pocket Guides.
The first part solidifies foundational knowledge of how to use the platform for lead generation. It includes all the essentials — from walking you through the campaign creation process to guiding you on measuring success against industry performance benchmarks.
In addition, it includes a checklist to provide an essential overview of all the key steps necessary to help maximize LinkedIn campaign results. On each element, the guide provides more in-depth insights on how to prepare and use the various LinkedIn tools provided on the platform.
The three accompanying Pocket Guides offer a set of slides filled with quick tips and thought-starters on building compelling lead generation ad campaigns based on an effective lead scoring model.
Considering that brands have recorded a 10-15% lift in short-term sales performance after their ads were seen on LinkedIn and that the platform has been found to be 2x more effective at driving Return on Ad Spend, it would probably make sense for all technology marketers with lead generation responsibilities to tap into this resource.
