LinkedIn has a new profile layout that puts emphasis on your current employment and education. Good, but now you may have to change your cover image again.
If you have visited your LinkedIn profile today (or any of your connections’ profile) you may have seen something different than what you expected. LinkedIn has introduced a new profile layout.
It is not a drastic change, ok. But I like how it brings up information about your current employment, education and contact information, right up in the profile header.
I also really like the left alignment of the profile picture, name and headline. It just looks better. However, that means that you may have to change and/or redesign your cover image.
For the moment the new layout is desktop-only, the mobile app still uses the existing design.
A LinkedIn spokesperson confirmed the change, explaining: “We heard from our members that they wanted to more easily see information about their connections (e.g. where they work, connections list, images/videos/files they want to be visible in their summary)”
