If you’re like me, and enjoy taking pictures of your food, you will know how difficult it is to get the right shot. And even when you do, there’s just something about Instagram‘s filters… well, they’re just not that good on food as they are on anything else. To help out, the LINE Corporation – owner of messaging app Line – comes to the rescue. Here’s Foodie – a camera app dedicated to taking delicious photos of food.

The LINE Corporation has announced Foodie, an app available on both iPhone and Android that offers users 24 food filters, a best angle feature for easy flat lays, and several other photographic tools, so that foodies can take the perfect food photo. Foodie isn’t the first such app though as the announcement reads,
The Foodie camera app follows the example set by B612, a dedicated selfie camera app that has surpassed 100 million downloads worldwide. Foodie offers a cornucopia of features with a singular goal: to make food pictures more delicious.
There are 24 food filters included in Foodie – “Meat,” “Sushi,” “Cake,” and many others that are cuisine-specific. The app also lets you know if you are holding your camera fully horizontally above your food, so that you can take the perfect flat lay shot – your device just vibrates and shows you in color when conditions are right.

The app also offers an “auto blurring” effect that will help you give your images a “professional” look – as if taken with an SLR. Finally it also offers brightness adjustments and flashlight features that will give you many more options for shooting.
Foodie then allows you to share your images through Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. You can get the free app on iOS and Android.
