LEGO is celebrating the legacy of Antoni Gaudí with a model worthy of the architect’s masterpiece. To mark the centenary of Gaudí’s death, the brand has unveiled a massive new Sagrada Família set that becomes the largest LEGO set ever released.
Made up of 12,060 pieces, the model stands 62 cm tall and recreates Barcelona’s iconic basilica in remarkable detail. Available for pre-order now and launching in stores on November 1, the set carries a price tag of $749.99.
LEGO turns construction into storytelling
What makes this launch particularly interesting is how LEGO designed the building experience itself.
Rather than following a standard assembly process, the set mirrors the real construction timeline of the Sagrada Família. Builders begin with the crypt and apse before progressing through the Nativity Façade, the Passion Façade, the central nave, the six towers, and finally the Glory Façade.
The result is a model that doesn’t simply reproduce the landmark. It recreates its history. Every stage of the build reflects the evolution of a project that began in 1882 and remains one of the world’s most famous ongoing construction sites.

Designed to be displayed
Created by LEGO Architecture designer Rok Žgalin Kobe, the set goes beyond scale alone.
Special stained-glass-inspired window elements recreate the way light filters through the real basilica, turning the model into a display piece that changes depending on its environment. It’s a subtle but effective detail that brings some of Gaudí’s most celebrated architectural qualities into brick form.
For collectors, the experience doesn’t end once the final piece is placed. The model is designed to become a centerpiece.
Another signal of LEGO’s adult strategy
The Sagrada Família joins a growing portfolio of premium LEGO sets aimed at adult builders.
Over the past few years, LEGO has successfully expanded beyond traditional toys by positioning its largest releases as design objects, collectibles, and passion projects. From landmarks and artworks to movie franchises and Formula 1 cars, the brand continues to prove that building blocks are no longer just for kids.
By tying this release to the centenary of Gaudí and the approaching completion of the real Sagrada Família, LEGO transforms a construction set into a cultural artifact, giving fans a chance to build a piece of architectural history at home.
