Instagram has announced Guides, a new way to quickly discover recommendations, tips, and other content from creators, public figures, organizations, and publishers.
Instagram wants its platform to be a place for its users to find inspiration and reliable information from the accounts they follow. That’s why it’s now giving them the ability to discover recommendations, tips, and other content, with a new feature called Guides.
Announced earlier this week, Guides will begin by focussing on wellness content to help people who are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instagram says it will “enable creators to connect with expert organizations to share resources during this time, including tips on how to look after your well-being, maintaining a connection with others, or managing anxiety or grief.”

Only a small list of creators are currently participating in Guides, but all you have to do to see the feature in action is to visit one of their profiles and tap the middle icon (the one that looks like a pamphlet) to view their Guides.
In the next few days, you will also be able to access Guides from within the Explore tab.
