Instagram has a new Sticker available for Stories and it might be one of the best ever for marketers: introducing the “countdown” sticker.
Did you know Christmas was exactly 11 days, 6 hours and 19 minutes away (at the time of writing this)? Me neither, but thanks to the latest Instagram Stories stickers, I do know.
Instagram users can now add an interactive countdown sticker to their Stories. Obviously, this sticker will countdown how much time is left between now and the date you chose. Seems trivial? Think about how many events and happenings you organize as a brand or agency? Now you have a super easy way to communicate these to your followers.
The new Countdown sticker is available via the sticker tray on Instagram Stories. First you will have to select the date and time you want to countdown to. You have the possibility to choose a date (all day) or a specific time on that day. You can then customize the message, and color of the sticker. And voila.
Followers who view your story will be invited to tap on the countdown to receive reminders about your countdown. They can also share the countdown to their own Stories, in which case you will receive a notification every time someone shares it.
I love the new Countdown sticker on @instagram – can think of so many fun ways to use it for brands. pic.twitter.com/R4GgWUHpeT
