Instagram has rolled out a new “Add Yours” sticker in Stories to give users more ways to collaborate and discover new people to follow.
Instagram announced it is introducing a new “Add Yours” sticker to Stories that will let users create public threads in Stories that other users can respond to.
Following a prompt or a particular topic, the feature lets users respond to other users’ Stories with their own. The use of the sticker can quickly end up creating a content chain where each user adds their own Story.

“With custom prompts and public responses, you can share the sticker and see who responds to it in their own Stories,” the social media giant explained in a tweet.
To explore the new feature, users can select the “Add Yours” sticker from the top navigation bar within their Stories. Responding to another user’s sticker with a Story is as simple as clicking on it and adding a video or photo in response to adding a link to the new chain.
The TikTok “duet-like” feature aims to instigate collaboration, but it can also facilitate discovery. Users who respond to the sticker will also see the others who participated in the thread and view their Stories.
Instagram has also recently made its Link sticker in Stories available to all users globally, removing the previous restriction it had placed on the use of the sticker limiting its use to businesses and creators with at least 10k followers.
“We made this decision based on feedback we heard from the community about how impactful it would be for accounts of all sizes to benefit from link sharing to engage with their followers,” explained Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri.
