Facebook is adding a bunch of new features to its Messenger app: support for Boomerangs, a Selfie Mode, and new AR stickers.
Months ago, Facebook announced a big Messenger redesign to simplify its app. Today the company announced it is adding two new camera modes and support for AR Stickers. Facebook Messenger now has five different camera modes: normal, video, text, boomerang and selfie. While that is still a lot less than what is available on Instagram Stories (where there are nine), it places Messenger into the top apps in terms of camera features.
These modes are very well-integrated into the app and contribute to a smoother and easier usage of the camera features.

The updated Messenger also introduces the new AR stickers, or rather, AR support for stickers. Thanks to this new feature, your favorite stickers can now be taken out of Messenger and shared on any photo or video. All you have to do is press the camera icon next to a sticker and add it as an AR object on a photo or video.
These new features are all part of Messengers latest app update which should roll out to most users globally in the next few days.
