Nike has been crowned as the most popular high street fashion brand on Instagram, ahead of Zara, H&M, Adidas and Forever 21.
To be honest, it is not much of a competition. Nike counts more than three times as many followers as any other high street fashion brand, according to a recent research from Iconosquare. In fact, with 72 million followers, Nike is the fifteenth most popular Instagram account in the world!
Retail fashion trend setters H&M and Zara respectively came second and third, Adidas takes the fourth place and Forever21 completes the top 5.
The visual character of Instagram has always made it the platform of choice for fashion brands. It is where trends are born and shared and where new influencers thrive. Although it has not yet fully developed its e-commerce capabilities, Instagram can rely on third party apps to help high street brands generate even more sales. But, keep in mind, Instagram’s main game is about awareness and inspiration.
