360 live video broadcasting has been available on Twitter for a few weeks now, and brands are already starting to take advantage of the feature. One of these – Airbnb – is leading the pack.
Having recently rolled out its Experiences and Places features, Airbnb live-streamed 360 videos on Twitter and Periscope last weekend.
The three streams went live on different days in three cities across the globe: “Cameroon Fusion” in London, “Kauai Home” Tour in Kauai, Hawaii, and “City Tour” in Detroit (remember to use Chrome to enjoy 360 videos…)

Jasmine Atherton, head of social, Americas, said that by bringing Airbnb experiences and homes into the live space on the platforms,
[Airbnb is] able to bring people together. Airbnb was built on creating meaningful connections with people and having deeply local experiences. Live 360 on Periscope and Twitter is a perfect way to bring that to people no matter where they are.
