adidas has released an eco-friendly version of its classic Stan Smith and Superstar sneakers as part of the “The Clean Classics” collection.

If you’re a sneakerhead but also conscious of the environmental cost of the sneaker industry, here’s something you’ll be pleased about. As part of its “The Clean Classics” collection, adidas has released an eco-friendly version of two of its most iconic classic sneakers – the Stan Smith and the Superstar – created with sustainable materials.

Both sneakers’ uppers are created with 70% recycled materials and come with environmentally-friendly cork Ortholite sock liners.

As opposed to some other offerings from The Clean Classics collection, these sneakers are not vegan-friendly. The sneakers’ minimal off-white design is complemented by a leather tongue, which also features the light green “The Clean Classic” emblem.

The Stan Smith silhouette features perforated side stripes and a smooth toe box, while the Superstar features the iconic jagged leather “Three Stripes” adidas branding on their body, and the shell-toe that characterizes this timeless sneaker.

The Other details like the lightly speckled midsoles and cork OrthoLite sock liners round up the environmentally-friendly designs. You can grab a pair from atmos, for $123 USD.
