Facebook always comes to surprise us. Today, the platform has started testing video, instead of static cover images on some Pages.
Your cover photos need not be boring anymore. Facebook is testing a new feature on some Pages, allowing them to use a looping short video instead of static images as their Page cover. Narcos, which has always been pushing for more marketing efforts on social media, is among the first Pages to gain access to the feature.
The feature was first spotted by Vlad Calus – founder of planable.io – who shared it with us on Twitter:

The visual effect is very pleasing, as Narcos’ use of the long horizontal video feature is definitely eye catching. The looping video starts playing on mute, but you can choose to switch the sound on.
How awesome is that? What will your first video cover on Facebook be?
