Instagram will now let you pin up to three posts to the top of your profile page, including Reels, giving you full control over your grid.
The new feature was announced by Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri who said in a video posted on the platform that “Your profile is your space, so we’re looking for more ways to give you control over that experience.”
To pin a post to the top of your Instagram profile grid is very easy: open any post and click on the three dots in the top-right corner and choose “Pin to your profile.”
The pinned posts will appear on top of your grid, and in the order in which you have pinned them, not in the order in which you had originally published them.
After pinning three posts, your “pin limit” will be reached. Pinning a new post will automatically unpin your oldest pinned post. To unpin a post, simply tap on the three dots in the top-right corner and choose “Unpin from your profile.”
The goal of this new feature is to give brands and creators on the platform a new way to express themselves by choosing how other users will get to experience their grid.
