It’s finally here: Louis Vuitton is gearing up for the launch of its Nike Air Force 1, designed by the late Virgil Abloh.
One of Nike’s most recognizable models, the Air Force 1 is about to become an even bigger cultural icon. Its continued relevance in fashion, music, and art is getting a boost with the release of the Louis Vuitton AF1, designed by Virgil Abloh.
All editions of the Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 will be revealed at once in an exhibition — open from May 20 through 31 — at New York City’s Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse.
Following this unique event, Louis Vuitton will also launch pop-up installations throughout the city, specifically at Domino Park, Grand Central, South Street Seaport, Astor Place, Columbus Circle, Flatiron Plaza, and Gansevoort Plaza.
Pre-orders will then open for the sneaker, but only for select Luis Vuitton clients at first. Maybe you will be lucky enough to later score your own pair at your local Louis Vuitton store. Even then, it will retail between €2,000 and €2,500 in sizes 3.5 to 18.

First revealed at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2022 menswear show, the sneakers are emblematic of Abloh’s merging of “high” and “low.” Embossed with Louis Vuitton’s monogram, outfitted in Damier-checked leather, and emblazoned with “AIR” across the midsole, the revamped shoes reference the cover of It Takes Two by DJ E-Z Rock. Immortalized in the album art is a pair of Dapper Dan-designed Air Force 1s, customized with LV-monogrammed Swooshes.
