Twitter is testing adding a new DM search bar, making it easier to find and follow up on conversations by searching through Direct Messages.
Direct messaging in apps is a great feature but it can sometimes become quickly overwhelming to try and find the right conversation to follow up on. So, Twitter has built a new search feature for Twitter DMs. The feature was originally announced by Twitter Product Lead and Periscope Co-Founder, Kayvon Beykpour, during a press event at Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco.
The search bar is already available to select users across the globe and could be rolling out to more users based on results. Twitter confirmed the test and added that the DM search bar is currently available on iOS and the web.
