It’s New Year’s Eve and people across the globe are getting ready to celebrate. And Facebook wants to join in on the fun too, with fireworks in your feed!
Celebrate NYE2016 in style on your Facebook Feed by setting off animated fireworks for your friends to enjoy.
Simply add a trigger phrase to your status update, such as “Happy New Year” or the equivalent in your own language (I have checked French and Greek, let us know in the comment if it works for you). This trigger phrase will appear in blue colour within your status update and clicking on it will set off the animated fireworks (check the below post on Facebook, it will not work on embeds unfortunately.)

And the best thing? It works on both desktop and within the Facebook mobile apps for both Android and iOS! So what are you waiting for? Go share some festive spirit on your feed now, the trigger phrase will work Today, December 31st and tomorrow, January 1st.
